Signs of Fall!

This past weekend temps were so cool. Cool enough for me to get out and start some decorating and make a few signs!
I've made several Neewollah signs I think I can peddle. We have an annual fall Neewollah celebration, cleverly enough Halloween spelled backwards. it's a big event here in Independence. this yr I am on a brunch committee to serve to the senior high queen candidates and I made up a few signs to decorate the room we are having the event at. I made up a few more to sell.

It was good to be outside in the cool temps. I think I made about 13 signs last week.

I have been bringing in an arm load of summer decor and heading to the attic and bringing down an arm load of fall things. I have so much fall stuff. My interior colors are so fall friendly. I have tons of stuff.

Away with the red white and blue and hello harvest orange!!

Finally, I have a computer again!

Boy you just don't know how much your on the computer until you don't have one. We had a virus. Now just why does someone have to set out there and make these up to infect us all? Just tell me why? But were back on track now and I'm posting some tag sale finds I got this weekend. I have been anticipating this sale all summer. She always has a great one. We have the same taste and here is a great old flag picture that I'm thinking may have come from some old school house, at least I'd like to think. 'll use it next fourth!!
ii have been so bored lately, its too hot to do much outside but one day I managed to get a couple of signs made.

This great basket was $5. The little box was .50 and the tin was $2, a little more than I like to pay but I got a good deal on some other things there. So it all evens out.

This wooden box I almost left behind but it was only $2.

These are what I think I got a good deal on. Each wire egg crate was only $3 each.

I got a few tins from her as well to round out my collection! The baking soda tin is huge! Never seen one this big.

And a couple more I put in the Hoosier cabinet. Well I'd better get supper cleaned up, the boyfriend has been over for dinner this week his folks are gone. So I fell I have to fix a descent meal. I have just given them $ to go out. They like that too. Have a great evening!

My little Neelah Deb

Taylor has been chosen to be a Neelah Deb during our Neewollah 2010 celebration this yr. My niece Chelsea is going out as a senior for a queen candidate. We crown a queen and her court for our week long celebration. Carnival, parade, concerts etc. Taylor was chosen as a sophomore to be a Neelah Deb. Their responsibilities are many. They learn a dance routine and preform at the talent and coronation. They serve the Queen candidates in serving at the Tea and Brunch. They ride a float in the grand parade. It is quite an honor to be chosen and we are so proud of her. She's headed here in the photo to have her picture taken as a group for the local paper. Her boyfriend is home from a horse show in Iowa from a week and she can see him after pictures. She can't wait! Pretty proud of her!!
